“I tried to describe creative thinking as the process of sensing difficulties, problems, gaps in information, missing elements, something askew; making guesses and formulating hypotheses about these deficiencies, evaluating and testing these guesses and hypotheses; possibly revising and retesting them; and finally communicating the results."
Assess your creative level with ATTA — the Abbreviated Torrance Test for Adults — an internationally recognized creativity assessment.
Dr. Ellis Paul Torrance - American psychologist renowned as the “father of creative thinking"
Cristiane Oliveira is a certified practitioner in the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, granted by the Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development, founded by Dr. Ellis Paul Torrance (renowned as the “father of creative thinking”) at the University of Georgia (USA). The Torrance methodology for creativity is an internationally recognized framework applied in more than 50 countries. She currently applies the ATTA test to measure creative potential in adults.
The Abbreviated Torrance Test for Adults (ATTA), published in 2002, is a research-based assessment derived from the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) and developed within the theoretical framework established by Dr. Ellis Paul Torrance at the University of Georgia. Designed for individuals aged 18 and above, the ATTA was created as an abbreviated form of the TTCT, allowing for a reliable evaluation of the individual’s creative level within a significantly shorter administration time. The creativity level is a composite of all individually assessed creative abilities (fluency, originality, elaboration, flexibility), plus the qualitative creative indicators.
Fluency - the ability to produce numerous relevant ideas.
Originality - the ability to generate statically infrequent ideas that stand out from common responses
Elaboration - the ability to develop and enrich ideas with details.
Flexibility - the ability to remain open to new perspectives and explore multiple possibilities before reaching a conclusion.
Also includes Qualitative creative indicators-
Emotional expressiveness
Fantasy and imagination
Humor and playfulness
Rich use of color and visual detail
Movement or action in drawings
Storytelling or symbolic thinking
ATTA is a hands-on assessment using official paper forms protected by intellectual property rights held by the University of Georgia (USA).
